Water sports on the lake Laouzas

The recreation area with his beach at the Lake of Laouzas is ideal for a holidays with family and friends. At the lake you have a wonderful view over the area you will find the starting point of several hiking trails and cycling routes.

This beautiful quiet lake has an area of 400 hectares, is situated in the hills of the Monts de Lacaune in department the Tarn and offers a variety of tourist activities but has no mass tourism.

A recreational area which you can discover during your vacation on small Domaine Lacanal in Nages (Tarn, Midi-Pyrénées), located at lake Laouzas next to a beautiful forest at 800 meters altitude.

At the Lake of Laouzas you will find a small cosy beach with a sunbathing area. You can enjoy swimming, sailing, surfing, pedal boating, canoeing ... or just relax in the sun and read a book.

At the beach and water sport on the lake of Laouzas.

Motor boats, jet skis etc.. are not allowed so it is quiet. Throughout the summer there is plenty to do. There are trampolines and a canoe, sailing boat, surfboard or water bike. On the Lake are several marked footpaths, bike park, a mini golf course, horses for rent. For the toddlers and preschoolers there is an outdoor swimming pool and a children's playground. Children can enjoy splash and play!

All kinds of water sports can be practised here. In the lake of Laouzas you can enjoy swimming, sailing, surfing, paddle boating, canoeing ... and it's quiet because motor boats, jet skis etc are not allowed. Nearby you can go climbing, cycling, mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking and fishing.

Do you like fishing? Lake Laouzas is your spot. In the summer season you can buy a temporary fishing license (for the holidays) and there are even fishing rods and rowing boats for rent. Do you like fishing and do you love the peace and quiet that you experience. Fishing is also a great way to unwind and being outdoors. In the lake you'll find roach, carp, perch, tench, trout etc.

Swimming, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing

At Lake Laouzas you can enjoy water sports equipment including surfboard, sail boat, fishing boat, canoe or paddle boat can be rented at the recreation centre (base de loisirs) on the lake.

If you want to sail good example for two hours, then you rent this double sail-boat. Rental prices are on request. Want to rent a pedal boat, surfboard or canoe you can also ask at the campsite. Motorized is not allowed on the lake, so it is very quiet (and safe).

Wellness ... relax and chill out in the spa, whirlpool and sauna with magnificent view over the Lake. Spoil yourself with a beauty treatment and wellness ... a relaxing view over the beautiful Lake Laouzas in Rieumontagné.

In the surrounding of the campsite you will find 4 lakes where you can have water-sports fun or relax. It offers activities for young and old. There are watersports centres at the lake district. One of these beautiful lakes the Lake Laouzas lies just a few minutes walk from the camp-ground.

The leisure area of Lake Laouzas is a recreational area which you can discover during your vacation. Between farms and lakes lies our small rustic, friendly family camping Domaine LaCanal which offers bed and breakfast, self catering cottages, tents for rent and camping.
